About Him

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar was born on 14 April 1891 in Mhow (M.P.).

His childhood name was Bhima Sakpal. His father’s name is Ramji Maloji and he was a headmaster in Maulaji Sainik School. And he was 5 years old when his mother died.

He was the fourteenth child of his parents. And he was raised by his aunt.

He born in a family whose caste is considered very low or hey.

The Behaviour of Society With Him

Due to social discrimination and social humiliation in society made him stand and fight against it. He changed the mindset of upper-class people in such a way that there was no difference between the lower class and upper-class people.

He was very humiliated by his elementary education. Teachers do not touch his books, other children don’t talk to him, and he was not allowed to drink water were other children’s drink.

And sometimes he had to be thirsty because of that untouchability and he used to be very sad by that kind of behavior.

That time they were as untouchable that once he and his two brothers were standing under a rooftop to avoid rain and suddenly the owner of the house pushed them into the mud knowing their caste. And the barber does not cut their hairs due to being untouchable.

How He Completed His Studies

He loved to read Sanskrit but he was not allowed to read the book of Sanskrit being from a lower caste.

After the death of his father he completed his studies, he was a very talented student. Hence Maharaja of Baroda gave him a monthly scholarship of 25 rupees and also gave him the facility to study abroad. He completed his matriculation in 1907 and his BA in 1912.

Ambedkar went to England and studied economics, politics, and law here from 1913 to 1917.

Maharaja of Baroda gave him 10 years of scholarship which helped him in completing his studies.

Behavior With him in His Office

But his life was not as better after the studies he was not respected much in the office and was not allowed to drink water in the office. And he resigned after being humiliated in the office.

Being a lawyer he was not offered a chair in the office. He won a murder case and then everyone has to admire his intelligence.

He wrote many books like ‘The Untouchables Who Are They?’, ‘Who were the Shudraaj’, ‘Buddha of His Dhamma’, ‘Pakistan and Partition of India’, and ‘The Rise and Fall of Hindu Women’. With these, he wrote more than 300 articles and he was the writer of the constitution of India.

Conclusion

On the basis of his studies and hard work he changed the thinking of people about untouchably and gave new life to all the people of lower castes.
